NCR Corp. has again been named the world's largest supplier of multivendor ATM middleware and applications in a new report by strategic research and consulting firm RBR.
NCR ATM software accounts for 32 percent of the global multivendor software market, 12 percentage points more than any other ATM software provider, an NCR press release said.
The company has retained the No. 1 position in five consecutive RBR reports stretching back to 2007. Subsequent reports were released in 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2017, according to the release.
"As we see financial institutions taking on more truly omnichannel projects involving linking ATMs to mobile banking and CRM systems, we're pleased that NCR's software-focused strategy continues to resonate in the market," said Frank Gauld, vice president and general manager of NCR Financial Services.
"Financial institutions' technical and business requirements are changing rapidly in this new era of consumer expectations, and we're excited to continue leveraging our leadership position to better serve our global customer base."
The report, ATM Software 2018 indicates that more than 1.3 million ATMs globally run multivendor software, an increase of approximately 14 percent since the 2016 report.
