DULUTH, Ga., October 16, 2014 – The NCR Silver™ mobile point-of-sale (POS) system for small businesses is now offering remote payment and order ahead capabilities that are compatible and operable with Apple Pay™, a new service that will transform mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay.
These capabilities will be offered for free to merchants until January 1, 2015. Users of the NCR Silver system will also have the option to integrate customer loyalty so it works seamlessly with order and pay ahead features.
For consumers to order and pay ahead, they will need an iPhone 6 or iPhone™ 6 Plus. The app powering this, Silver Sidewalk™, will be coming to the App Store™ soon.
Two of the biggest benefits of ordering and paying ahead with Apple Pay are faster service and shorter lines. This new capability enables small businesses to offer consumers another convenient payment option that makes paying with your credit or debit cards as simple as the touch of a finger with Touch ID.
